Feburary 9,2014

A 12-year-old boy is in critical condition after apparently falling off a skateboard while holding on to a moving car driven by his father in Sydney’s inner west.
Police said the boy and two friends were each riding skateboards on Thornley Street in Marrickville about 8.30pm on Saturday, and were holding on to the back of a Kia Sportage being driven by the 12-year-old’s father.
The boy apparently fell off his skateboard while being pulled along and hit his head on the ground.
He was taken to Randwick Children’s Hospital where he was placed into an induced coma. He has a fractured skull and bleeding on the brain.
Police have asked anyone who saw the incident to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
