Cyclist found unconscious on road in Nambour

POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a cyclist was seriously injured in Nambour on Friday afternoon.
Initial investigations suggest about 5:15pm a member of the public located a male cyclist lying unconscious on English Rd at Kiamba.
A man in his 50s was air lifted to the Royal Brisbane Women’s Hospital with life threatening head and chest injuries.
Preliminary investigations have not yet determined if another vehicle was involved in the incident.
Police are appealing for anyone who may have been in the area around English Rd at around 5:15pm or earlier to contact police.
