Pedestrian dies after being hit by car
A MAN has died after he was struck by a car in Beenleigh this afternoon.
Initial investigations suggest the 82-year-old man was trying to cross the road on George St at around 4.30pm when he was hit by the car.
The Beenleigh man died on his way to hospital. It is understood he sustained significant injuries to his head.
A section of George St was closed earlier tonight as police investigated the crash.
All roads have since been reopened.
