Man critical after fight

A man is in a critical condition in hospital and another is under arrest following a fight in Sydney's west.
The men were at a party at Parramatta together when at about 10.50pm they left and were walking along Belmore Street when they began to argue, police said.
In the ensuing fight, the 36-year-old man was allegedly pushed to the ground and hit his head on the footpath, causing him to lose consciousness, police said.
Witnesses came to his aid and he was taken to Westmead Hospital where he remains in a critical condition.
A 24-year-old man from Five Dock was arrested and taken to Parramatta Police Station where he is assisting police with their inquiries.
