A BABY is in hospital with serious head injuries after two men attacked her and her father south of Brisbane yesterday afternoon.

Shortly after 5pm, the father was walking carrying his daughter on Argonaut Place, Slacks Creek when he was approached by two men in a car.

One of the men allegedly got out of the vehicle and assaulted him and his baby daughter.

The baby allegedly landed on the road during the attack.

The two men allegedly also took the baby and the man’s bag and fled the scene.

The baby was located a short time later and transported to the Lady Cilento Hospital with suspected head injuries.

A 26-year-old man and a 48-year-old man, both from Slacks Creek, have been charged with two counts each of assault occasioning bodily harm and are due to appear in the Beenleigh Magistrates Court on July 9.
