A MAN has died following a motorcycle crash on Mt Coot-tha.

The 22-year-old rider was travelling along Sir Samuel Griffith Drive about 11.30am today when he crashed into a guardrail.

A Queensland Ambulance Service spokesman said the man suffered significant injuries to his legs, head and neck, and was unconscious when paramedics arrived at the scene.

The man was transported to Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital, however died a short time later.

Sir Samuel Griffith Drive was blocked for 2km following the incident, but has since reopened.
