Brutal coward punch attack in Canberra

AN attacker who left a man unconscious on a Canberra street after a vicious coward punch is still on the loose.
CCTV footage shows the victim in conversation with a man outside a city convenience store when a third man approaches from the side and punches him in the head.
The victim was knocked to the ground and left unconscious, and required emergency surgery.
The man can be see n balling his hands to fists just before he launches his attack.The man in the blue shirt falls instantly to the ground after being hit in the head.
Police have released footage of the New Year’s Day attack in a bid to identify the offender.
He’s described as between 170 and 180cm tall with a dark complexion, and was wearing a grey T-shirt and black pants when the assault occurred around 2.45am.
The attacker can be seen walking calmly away on the far left of the screen.
