Two teenage boys have been charged with the attempted stabbing murder of two Sydney security guards who suffered perforated bowels during the attack.

The 15-year-old male and 17-year-old male were arrested yesterday about 7.30am (AEST) at separate addresses in Minto, in Sydney's southwest.

Police allege that a number of males allegedly entered a construction site at Minto about 11pm (AEST) on August 23 and assaulted two male security staff.

The guards, aged 28 and 26, sustained multiple stab wounds, head injuries and sustained perforated bowels.

Both men spent two weeks in Liverpool Hospital before being released.

After an extensive investigation, both teens were charged on Wednesday with two counts of attempted murder, wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm and robbery with wounding.

Both teens were refused bail and are due to appear at Campbelltown Local Court on Thursday.

The 17-year-old youth was also charged over a separate incident that occurred at Minto Railway Station on September 13.

Police allege a man was assaulted by a group of males during an attempted robbery.

The older boy will also face a charge of robbery in company during his court appearance today.
