Home invasion: four held after man bashed

At least four people allegedly stormed a man's home and bashed him before stealing his car in Sydney's north today.

Three men and a woman have been arrested over the attack and are in police custody. Police allege the group forced their way into the man's house in Raymond Street, Eastwood, about 2.15am.

They allegedly assaulted the man, bashing him around the head, before stealing his car. Eastwood police went to the man's home and spotted a man and a woman driving his car nearby.

The police Dog Squad then found a further two men allegedly hiding underneath a nearby house.

All four were arrested and taken to Ryde police station. No charges have yet been laid.

The victim was taken to Royal North Shore Hospital for treatment to serious head injuries.
He was in a serious condition this morning, police said.
