56% of people with an Acquired brain injury or Traumatic Brain Injury were more likely to be living in
a capital city compared with 46% in the rest of the state. 82% with an acquired brain injury or
traumatic brain injury related stated that their situation was caused by motor vehicle,
workplace, family violence, contact sports, street violence, drug and alachol abuse.
84% with an acquired or traumatic brain injury suffered neuro trauma along with neuro psychological
disabling conditions such as short term memory problems, anger outbursts, sleeplessness, excessive
compulsive disorders, loss of sexual libido, depression, low self esteem, sudden mood changes,
disorientation or easily confused, loss of sense of smell or taste, difficulty in reading, difficulity in maintaining relationships.
